What VPS hardware features to host phpBB on a VPS, open for all recommendations

Now I am looking for a hosting.
If the website has a forum only, I mean the main URL opens the forum directly, and nothing else on the website, what would be the hardware features I will need to host the forum on a VPS (because many recommended staying away from shared hosting for a long run reliable web hosting).

If your forum is just starting up it won’t need much resources, so any basic VPS is enough. However, I would recommend reconsidering using VPS if you don’t have experience in server management. There are still reliable web hosting companies and shared hosting would be enough for you in the beginning.
